Overview
Maro Matcha is seeking a passionate, energetic, and customer-focused Two Full-Time Team Members to join our growing team in Winnipeg.
As a Full-Time Team Member, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, preparing premium matcha and specialty beverages, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, and representing the MARO MATCHA brand both in-store and within the community.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality and presentation, values teamwork, is committed to creating a welcoming experience for every guest, and is comfortable being on camera for content creation. Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet all customers promptly, warmly, and professionally.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Answer questions about matcha, beverages, ingredients, and menu offerings.
Provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
Process cash, debit, credit, and digital payments.
Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Build positive relationships with returning customers and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
Beverage and Food Preparation
Prepare matcha, hojicha, and specialty beverages according to MARO MATCHA recipes and standards.
Ensure proper measurements, preparation techniques, and presentation.
Maintain consistency and quality across all beverages.
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
Monitor ingredient freshness and inventory levels throughout the shift.
Assist with beverage development, tastings, and quality control as required.
Operations & Store Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of customer areas, kitchen, preparation stations, and equipment.
Wash dishes and operate dishwashing equipment.
Complete opening and closing procedures.
Restock ingredients, cups, lids, straws, and other supplies.
Ensure all workstations remain organized and operational throughout service.
Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
Follow waste reduction and sustainability practices.
Teamwork & Culture
Collaborate positively with team members and management.
Communicate effectively during shifts and team meetings.
Support a respectful, inclusive, and professional workplace.
Participate in training programs and ongoing development opportunities.
Contribute ideas for improving customer experience, operations, and community engagement.
Brand & Community Engagement
Represent the MARO MATCHA brand professionally.
Support community events, pop-ups, festivals, and promotional activities.
Participate in social media content creation when consent is provided.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous café, coffee shop, bubble tea, restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience.
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
Knowledge of matcha, tea, wellness products, or specialty beverages.
Comfortable being on camera for content creation.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks including beverage preparation and cleaning.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
