Hi, I'm Marro – the founder of MARO MATCHA.

What started as a love for healthy caffeine and quiet morning rituals turned into a passion for sharing high-quality matcha and hojicha from Kyoto, Japan. I'm a photographer by trade, but connecting with people and building something meaningful lights me up just as much as capturing moments behind the lens.

My go-to drinks? A maple hojicha or a matchacano - simple, comforting, and energizing in the best way.

ABOUT OUR MATCHA

Our matcha is directly sourced from two of Japan’s most respected regions, Kyotanabe and Uji both known for producing some of the highest quality matcha in the world.

We’re proud to support small, family-owned farms in Japan, and we keep things simple: no sugar, no fillers just pure ceremonial-grade matcha. It’s clean, vibrant, and packed with healthy caffeine to fuel your day, naturally.

UJI, JAPAN

Uji matcha is known for its rich umami, smooth sweetness, and vibrant green color. Grown in mineral-rich soil and misty hills, it’s carefully shade-grown and hand-harvested - bringing out deep, creamy notes with every sip.

KYOTANABE

Kyotanabe matcha is bold and full-bodied, with a deep umami and mellow sweetness. Grown in fertile, well-drained soil and shaded with care, the leaves develop rich flavor and vibrant color. It’s a small city with a big reputation - home to some of the finest matcha in Japan.
